Recording of the Cover Tunes.

When you do have a rich and unique voice like Joe Cocker then go head and make recordings of some well known and popular cover tunes.
But when your voice is perhaps rich but average then do not make much expectations of your recordings.

I was told once bye one big time shaker in Country Music that Commercial Radio Stations will not play the replica hit songs when they are able to play the original recordings. - This dose apply to all music recordings.

It is possible to take lets say well known and popular melody of song written in Czech or Mongolian and write on to that existing melody English Song lyrics.
And you will have a Hit Song in Britain  or North America.
That is one alternative. But otherwise there is no way.

Original song is always the answer. And please don't get misleads bye some well known recording artists who are using covers for fillers in their albums. Doing cover tunes as school projects is perfectly fine.
